I am not the ocean,
but the depth of its Silence,
blacker than black, more hushed than the soundless.
Fathoms into the fathomless,
I breathe Life into everything in Me.
Yet, I am not the wave that crests above, nor the one that crashes onto the shore.
I am not the foam or toss of rocks and sand.
I am not the twinkle of the sun, nor the blue reflected by the sky.
Though all those are born of and return to Me.
I sink into the depths of Myself and in the stillness,
watch the waves arc and disappear, arc and disappear
For I am that Peace from which the ocean springs.
